Communications and News
Our goal is to ensure our students, parents and community members have complete, accurate and timely information about important matters concerning our district and schools.
The Communications Office responds to requests for public records from both the news media and the general public.
Beyond providing access to public records, we strive to provide answers to any questions people may have about our district, or we direct inquiries to appropriate information sources.
We are happy to work with members of the news media to answer questions and provide information, arrange interviews and onsite news and feature coverage, and to obtain parent permission where student interviews or images are requested.
We provide information about our district and schools through a variety of communication channels:
Newsletters
Our One Rocket Nation News ENewsletter is shared monthly throughout the school year (August through May), and readers can subscribe here.
The District also publishes a print newsletter, The Rocket Report, mailed to all Bay Village residents and businesses three times during the school year.
Website
We work to make the district website as comprehensive as possible, while still being able to grab quick bites of information. It is really the hub of our information program, where so much news, district and school-specific information, calendars and forms reside. Links from our Enewsletters and social media accounts often bring readers back to our website for more in-depth information.
Mobile App
Social Media
We maintain the district's official X (Twitter) account @BaySchoolsOH, the district's Facebook account facebook.com/bayvillageschools and Instagram feed @bay_village_schools. You can also follow Supt. Scot Prebles @BaySchoolsSupt
Staff Directory
We offer contact information for all our staff members through our online staff directory. You will find job assignments, email addresses and school phone numbers for everyone. Many staff members also maintain their own webpages, and we provide those links in our staff directory.
Web Video
Information and highlight videos are available on our website and through our Vimeo account.
Survey Research
Surveys are effective tools that help us listen to the collective opinions of parents, students, staff members and community members on a variety of issues. We conduct a variety of surveys, depending upon the need and occasion.
