  • Provide students and staff with the daily integration of effective and reliable technology tools, quality services & support, AND 

  • To advance teaching and learning, enhance productivity and safeguard information to serve the best interest of students while being fiscally responsible.

Instructional Apps

Approved BVCSD Online Apps/Web Resources
Approved resources follow SB29 and Board of Education requirements for FERPA-compliant privacy policy, and it complies with all requirements of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA).

  • New app requests are approved by the Tech Advisory Committee at the end of each semester.

  • New requests can be submitted via the Request Application button on the Approved apps list.

Classroom Technology

The Technology department provides hardware support and professional learning around the use of classroom technology. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Teacher laptop – one device per teacher

  • Document Cameras

  • Clevertouch/Interactive boards and Projectors

  • Device docking station

  • Student Chromebooks

  • Voice Amplification/Speaker Systems

Support and professional learning is also available for software, such as:

  • Google Workspace for Education (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, etc.)

  • Google Meet

  • Canva

  • Clever

  • Lightspeed Classroom

  • Swank K12 Streaming

*Note: Some softwares (PowerSchool) may be managed by another department, but you are welcome to contact the Technology department, who can point you in the right direction for website & app-specific questions.
