The Bay Village City School District manages the healthcare needs of our students through our District Nurse and five contracted medical assistants.

Duties of our school nurse:

• Care for ill and injured children at school

• Observe students for signs of communicable disease

• Ensure Ohio Department of Health immunization compliance for all students

• Screen vision for kindergarten, first, third, fifth, seventh, and ninth grades per Ohio Department of Health

• Screen hearing for kindergarten, first, third, fifth, and ninth grades per Ohio Department of Health

• Screen vision and hearing as requested by Special Services, parents, and teachers

• Screen vision, close vision and hearing for Title I students

• Health resource person for students, parents, and staff

• Liaison between students, teachers, parents, and community
