Outside Recognition
The district consistently earns much recognition and many awards, both locally and nationally:
Designated a Best Community in Music Education in America since 2003.
Westerly Elementary was named a U.S. Blue Ribbon School in 2015.
Bay High School was named a U.S. Blue Ribbon School in 2010.
Named among the Top 15 school districts in Cleveland Magazine's annual Rating the Suburbs issue for at least the past decade.
Throughout the past decade Bay High has been named to Newsweek's Best High Schools in America List (top 5 percent in U.S.) and has been listed as one of U.S. News and World Report's Best High Schools in America, putting it in their top 2% of high school rankings.
District earned three Harvard Business Club of NE Ohio awards for school management.
Bay Village Schools have received the SchoolMatch "What Parents Want" award annually for almost two decades -- an important referral service used by companies relocating their employees.
District earned one of the highest bond ratings available to school districts, an Aa2 rating, from Moody’s Investors Service.
The district has earned the Ohio Auditor of State's Award for "clean" financial audits for many years.
