Congrats to the BMS Power of the Pen Teams on a successful Regional Competition last weekend, including a 1st Place finish by the 8th grade team: Sam Vardon, Macey Caraballo, Penny Herman, Adeline Bellini, Oona Louis & Lily Young! A great showing out of 36 teams.

BVCSD had 13 Destination Imagination teams compete at the Regional Tournament. Teams worked hard for many months to get ready for the competition, and had a very fun and successful day in Beachwood. The DI State Tournament is later this month, and 11 teams are moving on!

Mrs. Dunstan's first-graders had fun during last week's #ReadAcrossAmerica festivities. The class visited the “Book Bistro” to do some "book tasting." Students presented their favorite books to one another to help build an interest in new literature. #BeProudToBeBay

Today, Mrs. Drinan's Kindergarten class had a "Mercy Watson Birthday Party." Mercy is a book character that they love. They just finished Mercy's series and the spinoff series, so they are celebrating today with toast with lots of butter on it -- Mercy's favorite!

Congrats to Westerly fourth-grader William Golden for earning the coveted Black Belt degree in Karate! #BeProudToBeBay
