Scheduling

Using the Bay High School Course Selection Guide, the courses listed on the Course Listings by Department worksheet, and teacher recommendations, students should fill out the Course Request Form that they receive at their scheduling assemblies taking place in late January 2025. We encourage students and families to review course options in detail; the Course Selection Guide is updated annually to provide descriptions of courses, credit values, prerequisites, etc. to help students make appropriate course selections. Students should input their course requests to PowerSchool and turn in their Course Request Forms with a parent signature to the School Counseling office by February 21, 2025.

In order to take AP and/or CCP classes, attendance at AP & CCP Information Night on January 27, 2025 is strongly encouraged. To take a CCP class, students must complete the Intent to Participate by April 1, 2025.

Typically, students take 8 credits per school year. Enrollment in CCP classes is dependent on acceptance to the university offering the class. Each college credit hour is worth 0.33 high school credits; a typical CCP course is 3 college credit hours, so most CCP classes are worth 1 high school credit each semester.
