Please enjoy this Veterans Day art from Mr. Prebul's Kindergarten class, created in Mrs. Jenning's Art Class. Thank you, Veterans!
Veterans Day originated as “Armistice Day” on 11-11-19, the first anniversary of the end of World War I. In 1926, it became an annual observance, and it became a national holiday in 1938. Thank you to our staff, alumni, parents, and community members who have served our country.
In honor of Veterans Day, Westerly creates an Honor Wall in the main hallway called "Our 'STARS’ in the Fight for Freedom.” Each student receives a "STAR" that can be filled out by their family and turned in to be displayed so their Veteran can be recognized.
Thank you to Army Veterans the Amigos for reading to our first- and second-graders today in honor of Veterans Day. Thank you for your service.
Thank you for your service, Iraq Army Veteran Mr. Donaldson, who read to first-grade classes today with his daughter Ella proudly by his side.
