BMS Announcements
The library will be hosting the annual Book Character Pumpkin Contest again this year!! Pumpkins must represent a book or character. Pumpkins can be painted or carved, or decorated with other materials. Be creative! To enter your Pumpkin you will need to upload a picture of you with your pumpkin. We welcome non-carved pumpkins to be brought in and displayed in the library! Categories include Silliest, Closest Book/Character Adaptation and Best Overall. All submissions must be family-friendly.
For more guidelines, ideas and information, stop in the library! Deadline to turn in entries will be Oct. 31. Winners will receive $10 Amazon gift cards and will be announced Nov. 4!
Sports Report
The weather could not have been more perfect for cross country in Medina on Saturday. This is a big, competitive meet and the Bay XC team showed up!
Congratulations to the girls Varsity team for their 4th place finish of 20 teams. Coming in 1st for Bay and 10th overall of 177 runners was Nolie Piktel. 2nd for Bay was Libby Rahm and 3rd for Bay was Lynn Swislocki. Also scoring were Clover Pierce and Ainsley Scheid.
The girls Open race placed 1st of 9 teams! Coming in 1st for Bay and 3rd overall of 90 runners was Mirella Martin. 2nd for Bay was Chloe Schultz, and 3rd for Bay was Sophie Peterson. Also scoring were Gigi Waters and Bridget Rhettig.
The boys Varsity team earned 6th place of 27 teams. Coming in 1st for Bay and 22nd overall of 231 runners was Will Waters. 2nd for Bay was Jalen Brewer and 3rd for Bay was Jack Smith. Also scoring for Bay were Sam Farrar and Will Kralik.
The boys Open team earned 4th place of 13 teams. Coming in 1st for Bay and 15th overall of 145 runners was Carter Baruxes. 2nd for Bay was Graham Dunstan, and 3rd for Bay was Matthew Miletti. Also scoring for Bay were Will Kirkland and Freddy Burt.
Congratulations to the entire cross country team for their success and many personal bests on Saturday.
Up next, the team will compete in the GLC Championship on Saturday in Medina.
