Dear Bay Village City Schools Community,
The Board of Education is pleased to announce Scot T. Prebles as the new Superintendent of Bay Village Schools. The Board unanimously approved his appointment during this morning’s Special Board Meeting.
Scot comes to Bay Village Schools from Forest Hills School District in the Cincinnati area. He is a 35-year education veteran who has served in multiple capacities within some of the state’s top school districts, from teacher and coach, to athletic director and high school principal. Before serving as Superintendent of Forest HIlls School District, Scot was Superintendent at Brecksville-Broadview Heights City School District and Granville Exempted Village School District.
We are excited to have him be the next leader of our district. His experience and vision are in parallel to our district’s quest to become a lighthouse of excellence throughout the state.
The Board would like to share its gratitude to Char Shryock who has served as Interim Superintendent this last year. We would also like to thank all the parents, students, staff and community members who participated in this process.
We look forward to introducing Scot and his wife, Leah, and sons Scot and Joseph to our One Rocket Nation in the near future.
Sincerely,
Paul Vincent
President, Bay Village Board of Education
