We Have the Winners!!!
To round out the BEST Start With Hello Week ever, we have the results from our first
Super Smash Brothers tournament.
Mrs. Machcinski would like to thank everyone who played in the tournament and
everyone who came to watch. Feel proud of yourself for being patient while waiting for
your round, for helping each other out, for cheering for every team, and for being good
sports whether you were winning or not. Thank you to all of our students and staff who
worked so hard to make the tournament possible.
Now for our winners. On Tuesday, we had super excited 5th and 6th graders compete
in a single elimination tournament. Bay Middle School 5th and 6th grade Super Smash
Brothers tournament winners:
Our Bronze Medal Winner is 5th grader - Mickey Smith
Our Silver Medal Winner is 6th grader - Connor Feiszli
Our Gold Medal Winner is 6th grader - Leo Krueger
On Wednesday, the atmosphere in the LMC was intense as the 7th and 8th graders
were getting ready to start the tournament. Some competitors were quietly getting
focused, some were doing arm and hand warm-ups and stretching, shoulder massages
were popular, and walking while meditating was observed.
Once the matches started the students were engaged in the double elimination
tournament where the following winners emerged.
The Bronze medal went to 7th grader - Leo Cal
The Silver medal went to 7th grader - Kellen Wamelink
And the winner of the Gold medal is 8th grader - Luke Smillie
The tournament was lots of FUN because Everyone was involved. I can’t WAIT until we
do this again.
