Attention...Builders Club is conducting its annual Thanksgiving food drive. Starting Wednesday, November 20, through Tuesday, November 26, we will collect the following goods: stuffing, Jell-O, Gravy, Cornbread Mix, Canned Corn, Instant Mashed Potatoes, Cranberry Sauce, and Green Beans. Boxes will be located outside of homerooms where food can be dropped off. Please help make someone's Thanksgiving special this year by donating!
The Tree Conservancy Group has donated two amazing 10-foot trees, and we need two families to give them loving homes! To enter, write a short paragraph with your family explaining why you want to adopt a tree, how you’ll care for it, and the positive impact it will have on your home or community. The two best pledges will win the trees to plant and nurture. Submissions are due by November 20, and winners will be announced on November 25th. Please send submissions to Kristina.eisenhower@bayschoolsohio.org.
Don’t miss this chance to grow a greener future!
Sports Report:
Congratulations to the 8th Grade Girls Basketball team on the victory over Lakewood last night! The girls fought til the very end, securing an overtime victory! It was a team effort, and every girl on the team added to the success, whether defensively assisting, rebounding or supporting their teammates. The final score was 43-47. Scoring for the Rockets were Anna Spellman with 12 points, Chloe Kazma with 8, Avery Linson with 7, Maggie Anderson and Audrey Weingart with 6 points a piece, and Meg Webster and Mary Linehan each adding 2. Our next game is tonight at Greenbriar.
Congratulations to the 7th-grade girls basketball team on capturing another win last night against the Lakewood Rangers. The Lady Rockets played an incredible first half of basketball on the offensive and defensive end of the court and took a 17-6 lead into the locker room at halftime. Unfortunately, a challenging third quarter with some defensive breakdowns let Lakewood back into the game, as the Rockets led only by one point going into the 4th quarter. With six minutes to go, the Lady Rockets found first-half magic with clutch shooting and critical defensive stops to pull out the 31-25 win. Abby Basen led all scorers with 10 points while Hannah Vegh chipped in 8 points, Raquel (6), Amelia (4), Laney (2) and Milam (1).
Let’s remember to RESPECT OUR COMMUNITY with KINDNESS, EMPATHY, and TOLERANCE.
