On Tuesday, August 20th, the 8th-grade football team defeated rival Westlake8th-grade football team defeated rival Westlake 22-0. The defense was outstanding, forcing multiple turnovers, including 2 Blake Sickles fumble recoveries and a Jack Chappelle interception. The offensive line paved the way in the ground game for Chase Alder, Kai Sloan, and Ryan Connors. Ben Schrock flipped a shovel pass to George Benko for a red zone touchdown. Later, Schrock would find Sloan for a 2nd passing touchdown. Alder would run in the 2-point conversion. On the next offensive series, Logan Bigrigg would find Josh Cseh in the endzone for a passing touchdown.
The 8th grade team will travel to Fairview next Wednesday.
