The 8th grade girls volleyball team won a thriller last night vs. Rocky River in their home opener, taking the Pirates down in 3 sets. Anna Spellman, Audrey Weingart, and Rachel Kraft lead the team with 4 aces a piece. Addie Ebenger and Sawyer Kerns were unstoppable at the net, each racking up 5 kills. Bridget McAlea, Abby Cronin, Lauren Vecchio, Emily Trecaso, and Sydney Veselic were all over the court, picking up hard hits and serves in the back row. Claire Filiatraut lead the team to victory with multiple assists and smart plays at the net. It was truly a team win. Go Rockets!
