BMS Announcements

Monday is the start of our Holiday Food Drive for charity. When you bring your canned and boxed food to the drive, you will be helping many Bay Village families struggling financially. Please work with the ACERIX Chromebook Repair Class and Builder's Club by bringing in one or more food items and putting them in the food drive box in your classroom. Don't forget that we need gluten-free and allergy-free foods, too.

Your BMS Library is running another challenge this month...This time is a BMS Bookmark Challenge, and here are the details.  Winners will get their bookmark printed for the library desk to pass out.  The theme of your bookmarks must reflect books, favorite characters, a favorite series or reading.  You can use words, pictures, or a combination of both.  Come down to the library and get a blank bookmark.  Entries will be due Dec. 22, and a winner will be announced in January!

Attention Ski Club Members: There will be a brief mandatory meeting in the library after school on Tuesday, December 12th. See Mrs. Costanzo in room 168 if you are unable to attend.

Beginning Monday and running all next week, Builders Club is teaming up with the 8th grade Town Council, and the Acerix Club will be holding their annual Community Drive Contest. Bring in items such as beans, rice, whole grain cereals, and pasta. There are posters around the building with detailed lists. Take a picture of the requested items and look through your cupboards. The classroom that donates the most items from each grade level will receive a donut breakfast! So, when you’re out shopping this weekend, remember to pick up a few items for the Community Drive.

A reminder that 7th-grade choir students should report to the choir room at lunch today.

Sports Report

The 7th Grade Lady Rockets kept the good times rolling yesterday as they defeated Shiloh in convincing fashion, 59-11. The Rockets took control early and never looked back as, once again, easy transition baskets, scrappy defense, and a solid zone offense were all they needed to claim their ninth win of the season. Scoring for the Rockets was:

Anna Spellman 13 points

Ava Dukes 10

Mary Linehan 7

Maddie Hughes 6

Claire Filiatraut 6

Lilly Harmon 6

Meg Webster 5

Emily Hawes 2

Addison Milos 2

Audrey Weingart 2

Let’s remember to RESPECT OUR COMMUNITY with KINDNESS, EMPATHY, and TOLERANCE.
