Sports Report
Congratulations to the 7th Grade Girls Basketball team as they cruised to their second 50-point win of the season by beating Hillside yesterday. The Lady Rockets took control from the opening jump ball and, with the addition of the Rocket press, found themselves up 22-2 at the end of the 1st quarter. The offense kept rolling all day, the defense was solid, and the fast breaks kept on coming. Anna Spellman led the attack with 12 points, with Chloe Kazma adding 8 points, Maddie Hughes (6), Mary Linehan (6), Lilly Harmon (6), Meg Webster (4), Claire Filiatruat (4), Maggie Anderson (3) and Audrey Weingart and Chloe Foster adding a basket. The 53-3 win is the Lady Rockets fifth victory of the season.
Congratulations to the 8th Grade Girls Basketball Team on the victory over Hillside last night!
The girls took home another victory, winning 31-24.
Madelyn Lee had an incredible performance with a total of 26 points while also playing excellent defense. Molly Rettig and Lucy Tenerowicz each added 2 points, and Sloane Kerber added 1 free throw.
The Rockets did not have the strongest start, trailing Hillside 15-11 at halftime. However, the Rockets once again showed their grit and ability to come from behind and make a push towards the end of the game. Led by stellar defense from the entire team, we took the lead at the end!
Our next game is on Thursday at BMS against Rocky River. Support our 8th Grade Girls during their next game!
Go Rockets!
Let’s remember to RESPECT OUR COMMUNITY with KINDNESS, EMPATHY, and TOLERANCE.
Show your ROCKET PRIDE !!!
